Where NOT to install carbon monoxide detectors!

We all know – or should know if you’ve been following my All Islands Home Inspection video blogs on YouTube – that in Washington State carbon monoxide detectors are required to be installed by the Seller on each level of the home, pursuant to the manufacturer’s Installation Instructions, and be UL2034 rated.  However, are there some general guidelines as to where carbon monoxide detectors should be installed?  For instance, how high up the wall?  Are they better installed down low or at the ceiling level?  And, is CO lighter or actually heavier than air?  You might be surprised at what you learn….

Watch my short YouTube video blog below to find out.  THANKS for tuning in!
